But when it comes to weight loss, you also need to head to the other part of the gym, where the barbells and dumbbells reside. Like cardio, strength training burns calories while you're doing it, but lifting also comes with benefits that last far longer. The more muscle mass you have, the higher your resting metabolism, which means you'll burn more fat even when you're just sitting on the couch.”
